Your Own Place is an award-winning social enterprise delivering Money, Housing, Tenancy and Employability support to prevent homelessness
Our Team
Our People & Culture
At Your Own Place, equality and equity come first. We want our team to reflect the diversity of the world around us, and we are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels respected and able to be themselves.
Whether it’s the people we provide support to, or our team, we want to see people thriving. Our Chief Operating Officer leads on embedding our values-led culture and putting the strategy into practice. From paying the Living Wage, the high-quality equipment we use, the personal development opportunities, to team involvement in strategy, we know that we are stronger when we are all involved.
Why we work at Your Own Place?
Team members utilise Your Own Place’s flexible working policy, receive a generous annual leave entitlement and get an extra day off for their birthday. We have regular team days where we spend structured time together, to connect, rest and collaborate. We use this time to develop our organisation or facilitation skills, bring in outside knowledge, shape the direction of the business or invest in our relationships by having lunch together. Each year we review with the team which parts of Your Own Place’s culture and people offer are valued and what could be improved or added.

“I realise now that I’ve been trying to keep up with my friends and now I know I haven’t got to. Your Own Place has broken the horrible stigma that everyone in the council is a robot and don’t care.”
Our Mission
To prevent homelessness through innovation, collaboration, and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive
Our Vision
