Your Own Place is an award-winning social enterprise delivering Money, Housing, Tenancy and Cost of Living support to prevent homelessness.

Our Team

Your Own Place puts people first. Whether it’s the people we provide support to or our team, we want to see people thrive and be happy. People have always been prioritised at Your Own Place, and our Chief Operating Officer, Jess, leads on putting the strategy into practice. From paying the Living Wage, the high-quality equipment we use, the personal development opportunities, to team involvement in strategy, we know that we are stronger when we are all involved. Throughout the year, we spend structured time together, known as Team Time, during which everyone gets an opportunity to shape. We have team BBQs and a week every year when we commit to no delivery (Circuit Breaker Week), instead finding the time to develop our facilitation skills in team Skills Shares, bring in outside knowledge, shape the direction of the business or just go for lunch together. Every team member gets an extra day off for their birthday, a generous annual leave entitlement and the opportunity for professional coaching support for managers.

Each year, we complete 360 reviews and align the findings to our aims as an organisation. It provides insight into what we need to do more of and what we are doing well already. Every member of the team has their own BHAG or Big Hairy Audacious Goal – something that motivates and drives them forward and that develops us individually beyond merely what we can bring to the business – something we are passionate about.

Passionate about people, potential and building trust to facilitate change. Loves learning, listening to music, dancing and being outdoors. Also, enjoys cooking and sharing a good curry.

Belinda is a fierce advocate for female empowerment, passionate about connecting with new
people. With a coaching background, she excels in guiding others to discover their potential and
achieve personal growth. A creative soul, Belinda indulges in Burlesque Dancing, gardening, cooking,
interior design, poetry writing and immersing herself in a good book.
