We’re really pleased to be able to share two big updates from Your Own Place.
Firstly, a big thank you to the National Lottery Community Fund for awarding us three years of funding. This funding means we can continue delivering money, housing, tenancy and employability workshops, alongside one-to-one support, across communities including Norwich, Thetford and Great Yarmouth.
As always, this work is about much more than the topics themselves. It’s about supporting people to build confidence, develop skills and feel able to take control of their own situations – whether that’s managing money, sustaining a tenancy or moving towards employment.
We’ll be starting this work in communities from April and will be sharing more details soon, including locations and referral pathways.
Alongside this, we’re also growing our team.
Thanks to this funding, we’re now looking for a new Facilitator to join us. This role will involve delivering both group workshops and one-to-one sessions across Norfolk and beyond, working directly with people to build the skills and confidence that help prevent homelessness.

Like all roles at Your Own Place, it’s about more than delivery. It’s about how we show up with people, working in a way that is restorative, strengths-based and genuinely human.
The role is full time (37 hours per week), with flexible and hybrid working, and a starting salary of £25,877 (rising to £26,503 after probation). See below for some tips from our team to those thinking of applying!
The deadline for applying will be 5pm on Tuesday 7th April 2026.
